At Dewis Centre for Independent Living we can offer a range of advocacy services.  We have trained and experienced advocacy staff who can provide an advocacy service to a wide variety of individuals

We currently provide contracted advocacy services to two local authorities - Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC  and Newport CC.

Advocacy might be short term or might be lengthier commitment depending on the individual case. Our independent case work is carried out in the confidential and supportive way that should be expected from an organisation such as ours. Invariably this is concluded with an impartial, independent report passed to the person who made the referral.

We are also able to recruit, train and support volunteers to be CItizen Advocates. We have the capacity to put volunteers through an accredited OCN course as part of their training to be volunteers advocates.
