What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person?

Firstly to understand the medical, domestic and social needs of that person.
Then to show patience, sympathy, support, care, honesty and reliability. A total commitment at all times.
A natural sense of job satisfaction should shine through and a sense of humour when the occasion demands.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person?

A natural ability to ask the right questions to understand the needs of a person. Following this an initiative to undertake the necessary action to complete the task required.
