I currently work in woodlands high school as a TA. I have pupils with ASD, EBD and ADHD within my class. My previous job was in Beechwood College I worked with students with ASD. I have had training in makaton, first aid, safeguarding children. I use PECS in work with some pupils. I am doing a degree in primary education also.

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person?

I think trying to keep the persons independence as much as possible is important. I am very patient and laid back. I am also fun and like to be out and doing things.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person?

I have many skills that I have learnt over a number of years which I can use to help contribute to making a child happy and healthy.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you?

I like to keep busy and active and I like to work with children with ASD.

What are your hobbies/interests?

I like being outside, I have a 7 year old daughter who loves being outside. We live right by the beach so like to go for walks .
