What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? Patience and being attentive towards the person needs is essential as a care assistant. Being aware of what a disabled person likes and dislikes is also essential as it makes the client comfortable as possible and prevents any triggers the client might have.
How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? I will be able to assist a disabled person in variety of ways such as: getting them out of bed, making food, washing them and the clothes, shopping, applying cream and anything that is required to help them.
What is it about PA work which appeals to you? I think being a PA would teach me a lot and help me later on in my career. It is something completely different than working in a pub and what better job is there to have than to help others.
