Please read the Job Description carefully before providing information in this Section of the Application Form. Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job I have grown up a caring for my heavily epileptic father with tonic clonic epilepsy and depressive mood swings/ poor mental health and psychotic episodes. This includes administering the right medicine in the right dosage and knowing how to respond when someone becomes unconscious or non-responsive. I have experience dealing with incontinence, and administering appropriate first aid responses. I have enough experience in taking supportive action that i can act instinctively in emergencies as well as taking on domestic roles like cooking and keeping a home hygienic, orderly and safe . I also know the importance of keeping stress levels low and how to keep a healthy and optimistic frame of mind even under distressing circumstances.
What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? I feel it is imperative to comfort and assure people with a disability if/when a crisis occurs because any limitations and restrictions on an individual can leave them feeling overwhelmed or cause a spike in stress levels and as a PA it would be my role to problem solve and find a solution to whatever dilemma we're faced with. I think empathy, concerted consideration, pragmatism and creativity are all qualities I possess that give me an advantage in assisting and helping direct disabled people's lives to create a healthier and happier lifestyle for them.
How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? I am experienced in taking care of other people's basic needs
[like washing cooking cleaning and tidying] and in being an active member of the community so I have found projects that not only inspire a closer relationship to those around us but also in nurturing our community with natural resources and protecting and contributing to the local environment, respecting differences and finding similarities in people from all walks of life but mostly having fun in taking part of something wholesome.

I also feel music and entertainment are very liberating experiences that help propel us toward our dreams and find some catharsis leading purer mental states in day to day life, I would do my absolute best to provide people with the variety and excitement to enjoy their lives more fully.
What is it about PA work which appeals to you? I've always seen PA work as emotionally rewarding work. To contribute my skills, experience and personality to a career forged in making things easier for people who have faced struggles greater than the average individual seems more worthy of my time and efforts than any other kind of profession.
What are your hobbies/interests? In my downtime I'm often just relaxing to music, getting lost in nature or literature, playing on retro consoles or spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy taking part in community projects especially those that focus on gardening
or providing for people in need [e.g: projects supporting homelessness]. I mostly want to make the world a better place but when i'm on my own i enjoy playing with crystals or giving tarot readings, reading conspiracies and finding out new things.

I currently do not own a vehicle or drive but it is a goal of mine to start learning and i am sure i will soon be in a position to offer driving under my list of services.
