I have 7 gcse’s
Completed my college course, moving to Cardiff in September to study in usw university.
Previous employment was working in spar.
I gained people skills, money handling, cleaning responsibilities, stock, and a lot more.

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person?

I feel you need to be an understanding person and have to work around a disabled person as nobody with disabilities are the same, you need to approach the job with a positive attitude, and learn about the disability before meeting the person, so you Have a higher understanding what they go through and know how to help.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person?

I hold my self as a confident and reliable person, I don’t have a massive knowledge on helping a disabled person but I’m very willing to learn and train so I’m able to help to the best of my abilities.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you?

I like being able to help people as I find it rewarding, I have a family member who is a PA and she loves her job, and I feel it’s something I would love to do.
I also love the aspect of meeting someone new and creating a bond.

What are your hobbies/interests?

Films- I love watching and creating films, this is the course I’m studying in university.
Gaming - I love video games, been playing since I could hold a controller.
Walking- I love going for a long walk to clear my head and just to think or have a nice talk.
Comic’s- I like anything nerdy.
Reading- I love reading books, being able to dive into a fantasy world is an amazing concept for me.
