Part-time Personal Assistant

 

A LITTLE ABOUT US

We are a family of 5, and have 2 children with ASD. We are a loving and caring family and enjoy various outdoor activities. Our Son is 11yrs old and our daughter is 10 years old. Our 11yrs old has a mild ASD, and is very easy to get along with. Our 10yrs has some ASD and can follow instructions with some TLC accompanied. Our youngest is 6yrs and very lovely daughter. We live in the Penylan area of Cardiff.


PURPOSE OF JOB

 As a family, we need support in order to have some respite and enable our children to access services in the community. We require an additional PA to help achieve this.

 

HOURS OF WORK

Ideally we would like a PA to cover 13 ½ hours a week. Hours will be used after school and at weekends. Family are flexible and hours are open to discussion.

Hours are as follows:

Weekdays after school are 4:30pm-8pm

Weekends can be flexible, mostly Saturdays.

RATES OF PAY

£9.10 per hour.

 

TASKS INVOLVED

  • Personal care and toileting needs
  • Dressing, undressing
  • Social outings, community activities
  • Any other reasonable tasks

ABOUT THE JOB 

 

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A probation period will be necessary in the first instance.  Wages will be paid 4 weekly.  You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
