CDP046 Personal Assistant to Adult Quote ref: CDP046 on application form Apply now JOB DESCRIPTION Part-time Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF 24-year-old male living in the Penylan area requires a personal assistant to support him out in the community to activities he enjoys and to maximise his independence. He is diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome and Epilepsy and has learning difficulties. He lives alone but has support from his personal assistants and is looking to recruit some more PA’s (ideally two) to support him on the weekends. HOURS OF WORK Day hours can vary but it will likely be: 9.30am to 11pm on a Saturday, 11pm to 8am sleeping night (Saturday) 9am to 8pm on a Sunday RATES OF PAY £9.00 per hour and £75 for the night TASKS INVOLVED Support out in the community to activities he enjoys, he loves sport and going to different places. He will be able to tell you where he would like to go that day and loves to watch football locally. Support with making meals TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Reliable, committed and punctual Understanding of confidentiality and privacy Trustworthy and efficient Would ideally like someone who has similar interests (loves sports) Non-smoker ABOUT THE JOB The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.
