I have Ehlers danlos syndrome and Mastocytosis. Before I fell ill I was a professional musician. My interests include music (obviously), arts and crafts, video games and writing. I also enjoy recording game/soundtrack music and gardening. When well enough I represent two Charities; one charity provides support to people with my condition and the other one is campaigning for patient’s right and fair treatment in wales. HOURS OF WORK 7 hours a week- days and times can be flexible for the right candidate. RATE OF PAY £9.25 per hour TASKS CAN INCLUDE General domestic work, such as assisting with laundry. Assist with personal care, such as help with personal hygiene. TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED I would really like to have a personal assistant who I get on with and who’s company I enjoy. I have a bearded dragon so I would prefer it if you like animals. I am easy to get on with and quite easy going. • Patient • Friendly • Trustworthy • Someone who can work on their own initiative • Welsh Speaker desirable ABOUT THE JOB The role of my personal assistant will be assisting with Hickman line management (Training provided), coordinating medical supplies, accompanying me to appointment. Personal care, light housework and companionships will also be required on outings. Previous experience is helpful but not essential as any training required will be provided. Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probationary period of 6 months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid 4-weekly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay.
