Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF


I am a friendly lady living in the Llanishen area of Cardiff. I have various health conditions that affect my daily aspects of life so having personal assistants who feel can improve my quality of life would be beneficial to me. I am looking for a friendly and passionate personal assistant. The people that I employ would need to be aware and understand of my health conditions. I want to enjoy life and having a personal assistant to support me would enable me to do this.


PURPOSE OF JOB

- To enable me to be happy and safe in my home and out in the community also.

- To assist with every day tasks.

PLACE OF WORK

- In my home.

- Out in the community.

HOURS OF WORK

8 hours per week.

There are up to 21.75 hours per week to cover annual leave and sickness of other PA’s. If you can cover some of the hour’s job share is available.

RATE OF PAY

£9.30 per hour.

Time and a half will be paid on bank holidays.

TASKS INVOLVED

- Minimal personal care involved.
- Food prep and cooking – I am diabetic so a good diet is important to me.
- Light domestic tasks.
- Support with making appointments and organising my letters.
- Prompt medication.
- Weekly shopping to Sainsbury’s or M&S

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

- Someone who is friendly and respectful.
- Car driver is essential as I will need to do shopping once a week.
- Personal hygiene is important to me.
- Someone who has a caring nature.
- Ideally someone who has worked in the care profession previously.
- Someone who is patient as I can get breathless due to my health condition.


ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You may be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
