JOB DESCRIPTION

Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

14 year old boy living in the Ely area of Cardiff. He is autistic and shy.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To take him out in the community. He enjoys going to the park, bowling, cinema, beach, and visiting a farm. To build his confidence in social and community settings.

PLACE OF WORK

Ely

HOURS OF WORK

6 HOURS PER WEEK – DOUBLE HANDED
We are looking for someone to take him out once or twice week.
Ideally 2x carers as it is double handed.

RATE OF PAY
£9.75 per hour.

TASKS INVOLVED

• To take him out in the community
• Personal Care

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

• Essential qualities
• Reliable and punctual
• Full driving licence
• Active and fun

Desirable qualities

• Experience of working with autistic children would be preferable.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
