JOB DESCRIPTION
Personal Assistant

GENERAL INFORMATION
Personal assistant needed to assist a female child who has a severe physical disability and was born with Arthrogryposis.

She also has left hemiparesis which is a weakness on the left side of the body.

She is hoisted, and needs 2 -1 support for transfers and personal care.
She is non-verbal, but she has good use of body language and she uses a communication device.

Saturday and Sunday only
9.30am-10.30am
1pm-2.00pm
4pm- 5.00pm
8pm-9pm
6 hours (additional hours for social)

RATE OF PAY
£9.15 per hour

TASKS CAN INCLUDE
• Assist with personal care when and where required.
• Help get ready in the morning.
• Assistance with pad changes.
• Help to get ready for bed.

ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probationary period of 6 months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay.
