He likes to go to the park and to the local garden centre to look at the fish. He loves sitting in the car and listening to music. He enjoys indoor play areas such as jump and it's very partial to McDonald's. He has epilepsy which is controlled using a magnet. PURPOSE OF JOB To help our son access the community. PLACE OF WORK We live in the St Mellons area of Cardiff. HOURS OF WORK Every Sunday morning 11 AM till 1:30 PM RATE OF PAY £8.80 per hour TASKS INVOLVED Helping our son enjoy leisure activities whilst ensuring a safety at all times. Assistance with personal care and toileting on rare occasions. Driving our son to and from activities. TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Flexible and adaptable. Common sense and initiative. Cheerful and outgoing. Able to respect privacy and confidentiality at all times. Full driving licence with no serious convictions. ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You may be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
