We are Kurdish refugees and we escaped a war torn area. Our son is a happy and intelligent child. As a family we do not speak much English at this stage. Our son is very sociable and is doing well at school with many friends although he needs support to access the community and participate in activities appropriate to his age. We get around using buses or taxis. He likes swimming and having fun with the family as well as watching YouTube videos. PURPOSE OF JOB To help me access to community. PLACE OF WORK I live in the Splott area of Cardiff. The nature of the work means that you will be working away from my home and the local area from time to time. HOURS OF WORK We have 4 hours a week available. 12PM till 4PM on a Saturday. RATE OF PAY £9.55 per hour. TASKS INVOLVED Helping me to access the community. Helping me to go swimming, go to the park or to the beach. TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Reliable, honest and trustworthy. ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
