Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a mature lady living in the Grangetown area of Cardiff, I have COPD and I am Diabetic, I used to enjoy reading magazines and doing the puzzles but I am happy at home watching T.V and spending time with my daughter. I also enjoy meeting new people.

PURPOSE OF JOB

The purpose of the job is to provide personal care, and to provide respite for my daughter, allowing her to have respite whilst my PA provides companionship.

PLACE OF WORK

Care will take place in my home.

HOURS OF WORK

19.5 hours per week

The hours could be shared between PA’s.

Monday

Morning – 9.45am and 10.30am

Lunch - 1.30pm and 2pm

Evening – 7.30pm to 10pm

Tuesday

Morning – 9.45am to 10.30am

Lunch – 1.30pm to 2pm

Evening – 7.30pm to 8pm

Wednesday

Morning – 9.45am to 10.30am

Lunch – 1.30pm to 2pm

Evening – 7.30pm to 8pm

Thursday

Morning – 9.30am to 10.30am – 2 PA’s required to assist with showering.

Lunch – 1.30pm to 2pm

Evening – 6pm to 10.30pm

Friday

Morning – 9.45am to 10.30am

Lunch – 1.30pm to 2pm

Evening – 7.30pm to 8pm

Saturday

Morning – 9.45am to 10.30am

Lunch – 1.30pm to 2pm

Evening – 7.30pm to 8pm

Sunday

Morning – 9.45am to 10.30am

Lunch – 1.30pm to 2pm

Evening – 7.30pm to 8pm

RATE OF PAY

£9.25 per hour

TASKS INVOLVED

Providing me with personal care.

Providing me with a hot drink.

Providing companionship when my daughter has respite.

 

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

I would like someone who is friendly and reliable, having a positive attitude is always good and chatty. If you know a bit about my condition that would be an advantage.

ABOUT THE JOB

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK before you start work . Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.
