CDP1602 Personal Assitant to Adult Quote ref: CDP1602 on application form Apply now JOB DESCRIPTION Part-time Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF 53-year-old lady living in the Whitchurch area of Cardiff requires a personal assistant to support her with maximising her independence. She is diagnosed with a long term disability called Sjogren syndrome which causes extreme, fluctuating fatigue and pain flares which can be triggered by ultraviolet light (symptoms are worse in the summer time). HOURS OF WORK Week 1 Mon, Weds, Fri and Sun- 45 mins a day (total= 3 hours) Week 2 Tues, Thurs and Sat- 45 mins (total= 2.25 hours) TOTAL hours over the 4 weeks= 10.5 hours Flexible times to be discussed, additional hours may also be available. RATES OF PAY £8.90 per hour TASKS INVOLVED Support with personal care (showering, dressing) and commode care Support with meal prep and cleaning away afterwards TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Reliable, committed and punctual Understanding of confidentiality and privacy Trustworthy and efficient Friendly and sociable Non-smoker Car driver preferable although most duties will not require any travel. Experience in care preferable Lady is a cat owner ABOUT THE JOB The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.
