Want to get fit, pushing a wheelchair? Assistance required for outings and adventures to Ruins, Castles, Woodlands/Places of Natural Beauty and other exciting places such as Hospital Appointments. Ideal candidate to have shared interests in photography and heavy metal, although these are not essential, they would make the job more enjoyable. It is more important for my PA to be accepting of these interests in order to support me and to have a good sense of adventure and humour. I am an equal opportunities employer. Snacks available on roleplay evenings (D&D). PURPOSE OF JOB To enable me to continue living at home independently and as comfortable as possible, also to allow me to get out into the community. PLACE OF WORK In my home and out in the community. HOURS OF WORK 16 hours per week RATE OF PAY£9.80 per hour TASKS INVOLVED I will require help with day to day living activities. Therefore the PA must be able to make a good cup of tea, enjoy interesting conversations and be able to take directions/instructions where required. I need help to get out and about, therefore it is important that the PA will have a wheelchair friendly car (big boot) for trips to various places. Occasional assistance is required for help with showering, and support with some domestic tasks, such as making sure I eat people food, general cleaning, laundry, changing beds and taking the refuse out. TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED - Must have a valid driving license.- Experience not necessary, personal qualities are more important to me with a willingness to learn and adapt. ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on the return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro-rata). You may be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
