JOB DESCRIPTION

Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

My name is David. I am a 17 years of age who has Autism and I am looking for a personal assistant initially to supervise me in my home and allow me to get to know you, my mum would be present and then In time I will require another personal assistant for you to work with to enable me to go out in the community and do activities of my choice. I am a very happy young energetic man with a good sense of humour. I have limited speech but I can say and ask for things when I build a good friendship. I believe in kindness and trust. I can get anxious when I am not comfortable.

PURPOSE OF JOB

Keep me safe at all times

Assist me with personal care and prompting

PLACE OF WORK

Initially at my home then to take me out to do activities of my choice

HOURS OF WORK

5 hours a week Saturday or a Sunday- this may be subject to change and flexibility will be required.

RATE OF PAY

£10.42

TASKS INVOLVED

Initially to supervise me in my home and to do games or things of my choice. Then in time to take me for long walks, play football with me, go to leisure centres. or any other activities of my choice in time.

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

· Car driver preferable but must have business use

· Preferably Male but I don’t mind if it is a female.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
