JOB DESCRIPTION

Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

8 year old boy with some mobility issues and limited speech. He has a great sense of humour and is fun to be around.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To take him out in the community. He enjoys going to the park, swimming, bowling, cinema, beach, visiting a farm, all the usual things a young child enjoys.

PLACE OF WORK

Ely / St Fagans area

HOURS OF WORK

We are looking for someone to take him out once or twice a month on a weekend for 4/5 hours each session, extra hours during school holidays available.

RATE OF PAY

£9.60 per hour

TASKS INVOLVED

• To take him out in the community
• Personal care

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

Essential qualities

Reliable and punctual
Full driving licence
Active and fun

Desirable qualities

Experience of working with ALN children

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
