Team of 8 Personal Assistants required

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a Mature Lady in the St Mellon’s area of Cardiff living with my husband and 3 cats. I am a wheelchair user and have progressive MS and no one day is the same. I am very friendly. I love shopping for bargains also enjoy doing Arts and Crafts, Gardening, Cooking and I also have a good sense of humour. Looking to recruit a team of 8 personal care assistants.

 

PURPOSE OF JOB

Is to assist me in my home, out in the community and also to swimming twice a week and above all to help me maintain my own independence.

 

PLACE OF WORK

In my home and out in the community.

 

HOURS OF WORK

63.5 hours available in total

Breakdown

28 hours, which would be double, handed = 56 hrs

7.5 are single handed hours.

Various hours available through the week Monday to Sunday times which can be discussed at interview. No carer will be required to work 7 days a week, but please note that these hours would include an early morning call at 8:30am, with the latest call being at 10:00pm. The hours will be shared over a team of carers.

 

RATE OF PAY

£9.75 an hour

TASKS INVOLVED

• Personal Care, dressing
• Hair washing and drying
• Some light domestic duties including ironing
• Applying creams
• Monitoring of and observing skin condition
• Assist with exercises

All personal assistants to raise any issues with Husband and District Nurses.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
