Part-time Personal Assistant x2

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a young boy with Potocki-Lupski syndrome with living in the Cyncoed area of Cardiff. I am looking for two PA’s to assist me on a weekday evening after school and some hours on a weekend, to take me out to access my local parks. I am unsteady on my feet therefore need the assistance of my wheelchair.

PURPOSE OF JOB

Supporting me within my home also to access the local parks within my community.

PLACE OF WORK

In my home and in the local community.

HOURS OF WORK

6 hours per PA, which is split into 2 x 3hour sessions per week on Thursdays after school and a Saturday.

RATE OF PAY

£10.42 per hour

TASKS INVOLVED

Keeping me safe and supporting me to access my local parks.

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

• To be mindful of my conditions.
• To be patient and reliable.
• To be able to push me in my wheelchair.
• To be dependable and punctual.
• To adhere to confidentiality.
• Previous experience with Potocki-Lupski syndrome would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly.  You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
