I require no help with personal care. I have mild learning difficulties and have difficulty in understanding social relationships. It is essential for me to be in a calm environment. I like structure and order and I find unpredictability and changes in my routine difficult to cope with. I sometimes struggle to form appropriate relationships with others. I am looking for 1 or 2 Personal Assistants to join my team and cover all or some of the following shifts. HOURS OF WORK Monday 3.00pm to Tuesday 9.00am Thursday 3.00pm to Friday 9.00am 1 weekend in 3 which could be any one of the following – Saturday 9.00am to Monday 9.00am Or Saturday 9.00am to Sunday 9.00am Or Sunday 9.00am to Monday 9.00am Flexibility to do either or can be discussed at interviews. RATE OF PAY £8.21 per hour £75.00 per night although currently in the process of being increased TASKS CAN INCLUDE Supporting to access meals during the day Encouraging skills with cooking food Supporting domestic tasks e.g hovering, washing, ironing etc. Assist with shopping, offering choice and planning for needs Assistance with budgeting and paying for items Being at the home to accept online grocery delivery. Support with understanding relationships Discuss with parents/ Social Worker any concerns Attend and arrange team meetings Drive to attend social activities and stay and support Provide encouragement to exercise regularly Assist with developing a routine and coping strategies to manage change and to interact safely with others. Full clean driving licence with own car Be able to cook a wholesome meal from scratch every day Ability to work a s a team and take direction from employer and senior colleagues. TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED · Reliable · Excellent organisational skills · Calm · Pays attention to detail · Good interpersonal skills · Trustworthy ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probationary period of 6 months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid 4-weekly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay.
