JOB DESCRIPTION

Part-Time Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I’m a 19 year old girl, living with my family in the Rhydyfelin area of Pontypridd. I have a severe learning disability which means I need some help, support and guidance when I’m at home and particularly when I go out and about in the community.

From September 2019 I’ll be attending college 3 days a week which will keep me busy and I generally spend time with my family at weekends.

When I’m in the house, I enjoy playing online games on my laptop and watching musicals. I also love singing and dancing!

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

My mother is looking to employ a personal assistant to take me out into the community to undertake social and leisure activities, meet new people and try new things to help maintain my independence.

I will hopefully broaden my social circles and I’d like to learn new skills and practice things like money handling and getting food whilst I’m out with my PA.

I’m looking for support to learn life skills like using the bus service/public transport and going shopping. I’d benefit from going out to the park, into the town centre, going shopping or to the local youth club.
