JOB DESCRIPTION

Part-Time Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I’m a lady in my seventies living at home in the Tonypandy area of the Rhondda. I have recently lost my mobility and need a wheelchair to get about, which means I need some help, support and guidance when I go out and about in the community.

I already have existing carers who call 4 times a day to help me with day-to-day tasks and my basic needs.

When at home I like to watch the TV, mostly for the company.

I’m quite young at heart and have a good sense of humour. I love a good chat!

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

I am looking to employ a personal assistant to help and support me to go out locally to do social and leisure activities, something I’ve been unable to do since losing my mobility.

This will involve meeting me at my home and driving me in my accessible vehicle down into Tonypandy town centre to look in the shops and stop at a café.

I’d also like to have support to go out of town to the Asda store or up to the local lakes where there is also a nice café.

My other carers will prepare me for this, so I’ll be ready in my wheelchair on the days we go out.

RATE OF PAY

£10.50 per hour

HOURS OF WORK

8 hours per week working Saturday and Sunday 10am to 2pm.
