Part-time Personal Assistants

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a lady living in the Rhigos area of Aberdare with my daughter. I suffer with Dementia and I am looking for a Personal Assistants to create a team of PA's undertake assistance with personal care tasks, toileting and continence needs, skin care interventions and assistance with transfers. Two PAs are required each shift for hoist support with all transfers to and from chair to bed to commode.

HOURS OF WORK

• 10:30 for 1 hour
• 14:00 for 30 minutes
• 17:30 for 30 minutes
• 20:00 for 1 hour

Two PA’s needed per shift.

Flexibility is an important aspect of this position.

RATES OF PAY

£10.30 per hour

• Ensure I am safe at all times
• Personal care
• Toileting and continence needs
• Skin care interventions
• Transfer to and from chair to bed to commode

• Knowledge of how the Dementia affects me

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A trial period will be necessary in the first instance.  The wage will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
