JOB DESCRIPTION

Personal Assistant

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

I am a lady in my 80’s living with my husband in the Pontyclun area. I have Cognitive Impairment Dementia. I am intelligent, strong willed and a charming character. I enjoy being out of the house and find it difficult to stay indoors.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To support me to access the community and engage in social activities such as walking and shopping.

HOURS OF WORK

5 hours per week (flexible)

RATE OF PAY

£10.35 plus some mileage covered

TASKS CAN INCLUDE

Support me out in the community.
Keep me company.
Ensure I am safe at all time.

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

Someone with similar interests.
Has knowledge and understanding on how my condition affect me.
Someone who is strong minded and firm.
Driver preferred with own car and business class insurance.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probationary period of 6 months will be necessary in the first instance. I will be your employer. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This job is subject to a DBS check.

I am a 13-year-old boy living with my family in Church Village. I have Wiedemann-Steiner Syndrome, which can affect my behaviour. I am on the go all the time, and need constant supervision when out and about. My parents are looking to employ a PA to take me out and about to various places I will enjoy allowing them some respite and time with my siblings. I have 3.5 hours available per week @ £9.50 per hour.

I enjoy walking and attending weekly social groups which arrange outings to shows and meals out when possible. This is a Temp position only, to cover my PA who’s currently on leave. Your role will involve supporting me within the local community.
