I have mobility problems this is due to a missing left hip. I am also partly sighted. I have a good sense of humour and enjoy comedy classics such as the Goons. I used to be a tenor in the Welsh National Opera Company and can be heard very often practicing my vocals. I enjoy most sports especially rugby. I go swimming for exercise on a regular basis. PURPOSE OF THE JOB I am looking to employ several personal assistants to provide me with some support with my daily routine and domestic support around my home. HOURS OF WORK There are 9.5 hours per week available. Monday = 9.00 – 9.45 / 12.30 – 1.00 / 3.30 – 4.00 Tuesday = 9.00 – 9.30 / 12.30 – 2.00 / 3.30 – 4.00 Wednesday = 9.00 – 9.45 / 3.30 – 4.00 Thursday = 9.00 – 9.30 / 12.30 – 1.00 / 3.30 – 4.00 Friday = 9.00 – 9.30 / 3.30 – 4.00 Saturday = 9.00 – 9.30 / 12.30 – 1.00 / 3.30 – 4.00 RATE OF PAY £8.40 per hour weekdays £8.90 per hour weekends TASKS CAN INCLUDE Help with dressing Supporting with showering and washing Meal preparation Light domestic tasks Hovering and dusting Changing bedding Washing dishes TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED A person who is dependable and arrives on time. The position is subject to satisfactory references, an enhanced police check and completing a satisfactory 3 month probationary period. ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay.
