DP797 Personal Assistant Please Quote Ref DP797 on application form Apply Now JOB DESCRIPTION Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I am a lady in my 30s living in the Hawthorn area of Pontypridd with my 3 daughters. I have a cognitive impairment, field vision loss on the left side and left sided muscle weakness caused by a stroke. I also experience chronic fatique. I am studying at the moment at University to be a learning disability nurse. I enjoy shopping and going out for coffee. I am not keen on busy/crowded areas due to the issues with my vision. I am very family orientated. PURPOSE OF JOB To support me in the home and out in the community, so that I can continue to live independently. PLACE OF WORK In the home and out in the community. HOURS OF WORK 12 hours per week (Ideally spread out over a few days but this can be discussed at interview). RATE OF PAY £10.00 per Hour Mileage cost reimbursed – £0.40 per mile. TASKS INVOLVED Domestic chores that I find difficult Taking me to do my food shopping Taking me to and assisting me at Medical Appointments TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED A person who is dependable and arrives on time. A person who respects the privacy and confidentiality of working in someone else’s home Friendly and approachable Someone patient and understanding A person who is able to work on their own initiative and suggest new activities for us to try. A car driver with a full clean uk driving licence is essential. A female is required due to personal care element and attendance at medical appointments. ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata).
