I am a happy and chatty young girl who enjoys swimming, reading, soft play, happy just generally playing, I also enjoy the computer and browsing the internet. I don’t particularly like loud crowds and shopping. I am looking for a PA to keep me occupied and safe after school. The ideal candidate will have experience of Autism and Epilepsy and have a clean driving license and access to a car as they will be expected to drive. PURPOSE OF THE JOB The purpose of the job is to support me to enjoy social activities out in the community while ensuring my safety at all times, I am looking an experienced Personal Assistant. You may also be supporting me in my home on occasions to do enjoyable activities. HOURS OF WORK 4 hours – Flexible days/hours RATE OF PAY £9.50 per hour TASKS CAN INCLUDE Taking me swimming, soft play Taking me to interesting places Discovering fun new activities for me to do Ensuring my safety at all times Using your own car to take me places TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Experience of working with autistic children and epilepsy would be an advantage but appropriate training will be available. Someone who will be sensitive to my needs Someone who is reliable and flexible A driver with access to own vehicle will also be essential ideally will be collecting me from school Someone who can use their own initiative Positive approach to this type of work Non-smoker Female ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay.
