Apply now JOB DESCRIPTION Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I am a 13-year-old boy living with my family in Church Village. I have Wiedemann-Steiner Syndrome, which can affect my behaviour. I am on the go all the time, and need constant supervision when out and about and can have meltdowns over everyday things, although I am generally well behaved when out with my PA. I love playing on my PlayStation, football, music, and playing with gadgets. PURPOSE OF JOB My parents are looking to employ a PA to take me out and about to various places I will enjoy allowing them some respite and time with my siblings. PLACE OF WORK In and around the area of Pontypridd and Nantgarw HOURS OF WORK There are 3.5 hours per week available, either after school or on the weekend RATE OF PAY £9.50 per hour with mileage where applicable TASKS INVOLVED Taking me to the cinema, bowling etc Ensuring I am safe at all times, especially when near roads as I have no road safety awareness Keeping me busy and entertained I wear pull-up nappies so will need to be changed occasionally Keeping me under control and telling me off when needed TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Driver will own car is desirable but not essential Someone who is energetic and able to keep up with me Someone who will be able to give me constant supervision Experience would be desirable but not essential Someone who will be strict and not let me get away with certain things Flexibility and reliability will also be essential ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You may be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you. Thank you.
