I can communicate well and I am quite a chatty boy, I am also a very active boy, I also like routine and I can be quite competitive. I enjoy going to the play centre, parks, bowling, cinema and swimming. I am looking for a PA to take me out into the community to do some of these activities and to ensure I am safe and help with my social interaction with my peers. PURPOSE OF THE JOB Escort me into the local community and encourage me to participate in social activities. HOURS OF WORK 3 hours every two weeks RATES OF PAY £9.20 per hour TASKS CAN INCLUDE Taking me to interesting places Discovering fun new activities for me to do Ensuring my safety at all times Using your own car to take me places Accompanying me out for walks TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Experience working with people with Autism preferred Someone who is chatty, friendly, calming and also have a strong character for when my behaviour is challenging Someone who is flexible and reliable Driver with own vehicle and business class insurance ABOUT THE JOB This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid every month on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
