SOMETHING ABOUT ME

I am an 11 year old girl from Treorchy who likes to have fun and keep busy. I enjoy arts and crafts, swimming, soft play, cadets and attending after school clubs. I like my routine. I have a pet Rabbit called Lenny and I’m learning to ride a bike.  I have autism, ADHD and learning disability. I’m generally quite calm but can be vocal if something goes wrong; over time when I get to know someone I’m more relaxed. 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The purpose of this job is to enable me to attend a session with FUSE over Cambrian every Wednesday evening. The session is 6:30 and finishes at 8. I like to sing in the car especially when listening to little mix. It is important I keep a regular routine as I don’t like change in plans.

HOURS OF WORK

2 hours a week 6:15pm to 8:15pm every Tuesday or a Wednesday term time

8 hours a week in non-term time which are flexible, advanced notice will be given on what days required

RATE OF PAY

£9.00 per hour with some mileage included at £0.40p per mile

TASKS CAN INCLUDE

  • accompany me to Fuse club every Wednesday evening
  • Encourage me to engage and participate in all activities
  • Picking me up and dropping me off
  • Remind me to go to the toilet
  • Going swimming on occasions
  • Going to the park for walks

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

  • Someone who’s reassuring, firm but fair.
  • Someone who’s positive and calm.
  • Experience of ASD preferred
  • Experience of children with learning difficulties.
  • Someone reliable and flexible.
  • Driving licence and own car essential with business class insurance

ABOUT THE JOB

My mum will be your legal employer so you will need a National Insurance number. Pay will be monthly and appropriate paid annual leave is given. There will be trial period involved and a police check will be necessary (which I will arrange).
