I am peg an orally fed and I need some personal care. I am not mobile and need to be hoisted; my home has been completely adapted for my needs. I can be prone to biting, I do not like being without my TV, someone sneaking up on me, loud noises, animals and being fussed over. I enjoy the TV especially Mr Tumble, The Night Garden, Herman the Worm. I like my teddies, having books read to me, playing with bells and my blanket and enjoy being on the floor. PLACE OF WORK At home only HOURS OF WORK 3 hours RATE OF PAY£9.50 per hour TASKS INVOLVED • To keep me happy, safe and comfortable• Change me if needed• Playing and interacting with me• Reading to me TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED • A good sense of humour is important, reliable, trustworthy, flexible and have patience • Mature attitude, open minded and common sense• Non-smoker • Experience preferred with Learning Disabilities ABOUT THE JOB This post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS check.Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four-weekly on receipt of a payslip from Dewis Centre for Independent Living. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to attend any training that is identified as necessary. Thank you.
