JOB DESCRIPTION

Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 10 year old boy living in the Llantrisant area with my mum and brother. I have autism and global development delay and I am non-verbal, I communicate through Makaton sign language, P.E.C.S and my vocabulary is growing.

I have sensory issues e.g. strong smells, don’t like bumpy bits or cracks in pavements, loud traffic, and sometimes I can get upset if I can’t have something immediately so you would need to stay calm and distract me.

I am funny and have a good sense of humour, I have a blankie I take everywhere with me.  I like Fireman Sam, Woody from Toy Story; I also enjoy arts and crafts, and cooking with my mum, like being tickled and bouncing on my trampoline.

I am looking for a Personal Assistant to look after me while my mum takes my brother out as I don’t like going anywhere but eventually I am hoping this will change and we can go out to do activities.
