I can be quite shy at times but can be quite chatty when I get to know you. I am pretty laid back and friendly. I enjoy playing with my Ipad and Xbox and especially enjoy wrestling games. I also enjoy watching wrestling, Mrs Brown’s Boys and all of the Marvel films (especially Iron Man). I like watching football and support Manchester United. I enjoy going to the cinema, bowling and eating out. I go to college 4 times a week and enjoy being around others. I have a learning disability and epilepsy. PURPOSE OF THE JOB Out and about in the community The purpose of the job is to support my needs and enable me to do things I like doing whilst also helping me become as independent as possible. HOURS OF WORK 1.5 hours per week. RATES OF PAY £8.40 per hour plus mileage. TASKS CAN INCLUDE Supporting me to access the community Going bowling Going out for food Attending events such a Comic con Going to the cinema Going to see the wrestling Generally just getting out and about TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Flexible Positive and encouraging Must like dogs Own vehicle with business class insurance Epilepsy trained /must complete training prior to starting job Someone with similar interests would be ideal ABOUT THE JOB This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
