DPC1593 Personal assistant JOB DESCRIPTION SOMETHING ABOUT ME I’m a young boy Living in Pontyclun, who enjoys football and is a season ticket holder for Cardiff City. I’m quite laid back and when at home I enjoy playing on my xbox. I have complex needs such as ADHD, Anxiety and Pathological demand avoidance (PDA) is a proposed sub-type of autism spectrum disorder. Characteristics ascribed to the condition include greater refusal to do what is asked of the person, even to activities the person would normally like. I enjoy going for food to McDonalds and KFC. I’m quite active and enjoys sport and like ten pin bowling, trampolining and going to the cinema. I enjoy being in company and can communicate but I’m deaf in my left ear. PLACE OF WORK At clients home and out in the community PURPOSE OF THE JOB to support me to the things I enjoy doing and to provide respite for my parents HOURS OF WORK 6 hours a week term time 12 hours a week non term time Job share considered RATE OF PAY – £9.00 per hour Mileage included TASKS CAN INCLUDE To provide company Take me out for food Go bowling Cinema Trampolining TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Laid back Patient and tolerant Understanding of my needs Enjoys sport Flexible Aware of how my condition affects me having previous experience of dealing with challenging behavior, guidance and training will be provided in relation to managing challenging behavior ABOUT THE JOB The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK before you start work . Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid Monthly and appropriate holiday pay given.
