VOG014 Personal Assistant Quote ref: VOG014 on application form Apply Now JOB DESCRIPTION Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I am a disabled lady living in Cowbridge. I live on my own home, and need support at home and to pursue outside interests and social activities and supporting with appointments. PURPOSE OF THE JOB I am looking to employ an additional personal assistant to support me in all aspects of daily living, both inside and outside the home. This is to maintain my independence, and support me when I am out and about socially. HOURS OF WORK 8 hours a week, to be worked flexibly, times and days to be negotiated but must include a Fri, and Sat with some Sundays on rotation. Flexibility required to meet my requirements, or to cover other staff absence. Additional hours may be available occasionally and could include evenings. Preferred start time, 8.00 a.m. / 8.30 a.m. but with flexibility to meet specific needs or appointments. RATES OF PAY £9.00 per hour, will raise to £9.25 at end of satisfactory probationary period, with additional pay for Bank Holidays worked. TASKS CAN INCLUDE Assisting me with showering and dressing (when needed) Applying cream to my skin Preparing meals or assisting me in preparing meals. Shopping for me or accompanying me Undertaking domestic tasks, including General cleaning Cleaning fridge Making the bed Changing the bed Laundry Ironing, putting clothes away Maintaining a tidy and safe kitchen and bathroom Hoovering Supporting me to follow my interests and engage in the local community. Accompanying me to activities/appointments Someone who is interested in maintaining my small garden – tubs and containers. Driving - in your car, or occasionally, to drive my car (for which you will need to be over 25 as stipulated by Motability Insurance) On not so good days, I would need my PA to act independently in prioritising which tasks need doing in preparation for the day ahead. A car driver with a clean driving licence and business class insurance. Mileage will be paid when own car is used. A person who is willing to complete any training required. Non-smoker preferred but not essential ABOUT THE JOB This position is part time. I will be your legal employer, and a national insurance number will be required. Payment will be by BACS four-weekly and will be accompanied by a payslip detailing pay and deductions. A trial period is necessary and you will be required to complete an enhanced police check (DBS).
