Part-Time Personal Assistant

 

 

A LITTLE ABOUT US

A brother (12 years old) with Global Development Delay and Epilepsy and his 9 year old sister with Autism are looking for a PA to take them out on a 121 basis to access local activities.

Some activities will include swimming, going to Cosmeston Park to see animals and other activities we enjoy.

 

PURPOSE OF JOB

 

To take us both out, on separate occasions to enjoy our preferred activity

 

HOURS OF WORK

 

3 hours with each of us per weekend / 6 hours total

 

RATE OF PAY

 

£10.30 p/h, 40p mileage allowance

 

TASKS INVOLVED

 

• Taking us to places I enjoy
• Driving me in your car
• Supporting me when I’m out
• Ensuring our safety at all times
• Supporting and encouraging social engagement
• You will work with each of us on a one to one basis

 

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

 

• A friendly and understanding person is important
• Someone energetic, outgoing and fun
• Someone who will put in lots of effort to get to know us so we can build rapport
• Someone who has an understanding of our disabilities and is willing to work with us

 

ABOUT THE JOB

 

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance.  My mother will be your legal employer. The wage will be paid four-weekly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living.  You will receive appropriate holiday.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a DBS Check at no cost to you.
