Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I’m a 37 year old female living in the Barry are and I suffer from anxiety and depression. I love listening to all kinds of music and watching soaps on the TV, I also like watching documentaries too. I like going to bingo when I can. I am an easy going person who like to have a laugh. I like walking around the nap and going for a quiet coffee.

PURPOSE OF JOB

I would like to employ a personal assistant who can support me and encourage me to access the community and help me manage certain aspects of personal of budgeting and offer me emotional support when I am feeling low. I would also like someone to assist me with going to appointments.

PLACE OF WORK

At my home address and in the local community of Barry.

HOURS OF WORK

3 hrs per week either a Monday or Friday after 2pm, this can be discussed at interview

RATE OF PAY

£9.65 per hour plus mileage at 0.40p per mile where applicable

TASKS INVOLVED

  • Help to increase engagement in meaningful activity;
  • Assistance to further develop confidence and abilities to access the community independently;
  • Help to further develop management of personal finances – including budgeting;
  • Help to further develop coping strategies.

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A trial period will be necessary in the first instance.  The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living.  You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You may be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
