Part-time Personal Assistant

 

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am 19 year old boy living in the Barry area. I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support with my independent living skills. I like walking, going to the supermarket and eating pizza. I have ASD.

 

PURPOSE OF JOB

I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to support me with accessing the local community.

 

HOURS OF WORK

3 hours per week

 

RATES OF PAY

£12.00 per hour and 40p per mile for journeys we take in your car.

 

TASKS INVOLVED

• Accompanying me when out and about
• Driving me to activities I like doing
• Ensuring my safety is priority at all times
• Encouraging my interaction to gain relationships & with my independence

 

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

• Someone outgoing and confident
• Someone who is flexible and reliable
• You will take an interest in my hobbies and participate with me as far as possible
• Encourage new activities
• PA to be a sensible car driver, with own vehicle and business class insurance in place

 

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A trial period will be necessary in the first instance.  The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
