I have been employed with DEWIS for over 5 years.

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): The ability to listen, interact and respond carefully with the specific needs og the person. To offer continuity and reliability so trust is maintained. To adapt easily and to the changing needs of the person as required. To report back to the parents of guardians any details that help build confidence and trust between all parties. To follow protocols and guidance as set out by DEWIS, the parents and the persons medical practitioners as required.

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): To facilitate new and desired activites so that the client will build confidence. To offer companionship and a listening ear to the client To encourage positive communication with meetings of others (shop keepers, receptionists and therapy consultants) found during a days activities. To be flexible to the needs and wishes of the client.

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): The positive outcomes found on a daily basis from participation from and outing or event. Introducing new ideas and experiences to the client Physical activity of PA work can be beneficial to client and PA. The gratitude and improved life balance found by the whole family of the client.

What are your hobbies/interests?: Walking Cats and dogs and garden at home Environmental protection Music, art and craft.
