37 hours per week
Salary: £21,589 pro rata (negotiable depending on experience)
Maternity cover for 12 months, immediate start
We wish to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated person committed to individual rights to deliver independent advocacy support in Gwent. The postholder will primarily be supporting and representing adults with mental ill health and their carers, but must also be confident working with adults in a variety of situations within an advocacy service.

The postholder will be computer literate with a high standard of written and verbal communication. They will be enthusiastic about working with people and will be skilled at prioritising and managing their workload. A sound knowledge of social care processes and an understanding of the advocacy requirements within Welsh legislation is desirable.

The position is based at our satellite office in Church Road, Newport, but will involve regular travel throughout the Gwent area and sometimes to our head office in Pontypridd.

Dewis C.I.L is an independent voluntary organisation with an integrated management committee of disabled and non-disabled people. We particularly encourage disabled people and people with direct experience of disability to apply. This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

o gyfathrebu ysgrifenedig a llafar. Byddant yn frwdfrydig ynghylch
gweithio gyda phobl ac yn fedrus wrth flaenoriaethu a rheoli eu llwyth
gwaith. Mae gwybodaeth gadarn am brosesau gofal cymdeithasol a
dealltwriaeth o’r gofynion o ran eiriolaeth yn neddfwriaeth Cymru yn
ddymunol.

Lleolir y swydd yn ein swyddfa loeren yn Church Road, Casnewydd,
ond bydd yn golygu teithio’n rheolaidd ledled ardal Gwent ac weithiau i
‘n prif swyddfa ym Mhontypridd.
