Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): I’m currently a full time student studying a Masters degree in Social Work. I have experience of working with children with ASD and ADHD. My previous work experience has included working with perpetrators of domestic abuse on a behaviour change programme. I also managed a homeless hostel in the RCT as well as working within a custody environment where I managed peoples transition from community to custody and back to the community. I have also managed a team of substance misuse workers, police and court staff within the substance misuse arena in Gwent. Prior to all of the above I was employed as a youth worker for the Prices Trust. I have extensive experience of working with both young people and adults.

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): I always demonstrate the utmost care and respect for those people within the care of the service I currently work for. I believe that this is something that I do on a daily basis, in all of my contact with citizens I always prioritise the best outcome for the citizens and offer support for all individuals in achieving goals. I use a person centred approach, promote autonomy and recognise an individual’s recovery capitol. I employ the skills that I have developed over the last 15 years on a daily basis.
How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): Promoting independence, supporting individuals in participating in actives that they find fulfilling.
What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): The hours are a big appeal to me and also i enjoy working with and supporting people. The same reasons why i have chosen to become a social worker. I have always worker with people in supportive roles.
What are your hobbies/interests?: I enjoy watching sports, films, listening to music, mountain biking, going to the gym, collecting figure, playing guitar, DIY, going to live music venues,
