Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): I have worked for over two years as a support worker working in supported living and supporting people with a range of disabilities. It has given me a lot of experience in helping with tasks such as personal care and helping people to access the community they live in. I believe I could bring these experiences to this job as I am a compassionate person and willing to go the extra mile for the people I support. 

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): I believe it is important to be patient and to be able to communicate effectively with the person you are supporting and be able to find other ways to communicate if required. It is also important to be compassionate and to be able to listen to needs of the person you support. Being patient is also another requirement and finding ways to encourage them to try new things and to do day to day tasks. 

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I would be able to contribute to their needs as I will be able to bring my previous experience and be able to apply it to the needs of other individuals I support. I am also willing to try new things. I am enthusiastic and am looking forward to new opportunities to support people. I am a patient person and willing to take my time and to support an individual in a variety of ways. 

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): The role of PA appeals to me as I would like to be able to provide one to one support to someone who needs it and be able to support them to access many different activities out in the community. I enjoy being able to help other people in many different ways and believe this would be a role that would fulfil that. I am a very active and outgoing person and working as a PA would allow me to support people to be active out in the community. 

What are your hobbies/interests?: I am a very active person who enjoys being outside walking and partaking in a variety of sports. I also enjoy cooking and meal prepping and doing the occasional baking. I am interested in learning new things such as learning languages.
