Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. *: I have previously worked as a waitress and in retail, which has helped me have patience and developed my people skills. Furthermore, my younger brother is diagnosed with autism and I often babysit him and have an active role in his life, encouraging his learning and life skills. 

What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? *: Qualities such as patience, being caring and understanding in every situation is crucial when working with a disabled person. This would not only involved being chatty but also by using appropriate body language and tone of voice so that the disabled person feels respected and dignified and not patronised.  

How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? *: I can help in terms of developing their life skills, growing their independence and confidence. Alongside this, I can become a person they trust and would hopefully see as a friend.  

What is it about PA work which appeals to you? *: I know personally how hard it can be as a family caring for a disabled child and the few hours of respite are vital for the family in terms of having time to rest and recharge. I would love to be able to provide this for a family. 

What are your hobbies/interests?: I study political and international relations, therefore I am very interested in current affairs. In addition, I enjoy shopping, watching Netflix and walking my dogs.
