What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): Care, patience, empathy, sense of humour, creativity, energy, resilience, adaptable.


How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): Having worked with and cared for children I have developed skills and techniques to encourage independence as much as possible. For example i will tend to use questioning to support them discovering solutions rather than just doing things for them. Having a can do attitude and frequent praise when independence has been shown or attempted. Regularly reviewing progress made to help life skills hopefully be retained.


What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): Ive always had an interest and care in supporting others. Ive shown this by my childcare work and also once supported a mission trip to Swaziland. This role use skills I already have but in a new environment.


What are your hobbies/interests?: I currently study photography as well as it being a hobby of mine. More specifically fashion photography. I also love to shop with friends and im a big fan of music, pretty much any kind. I love attending festivals and concerts.
