Give details of your previous employment or experience which you think would help you to do this job. (required): I have looked after my nan for a long time so i know how to keep her entertained and also how to provide support with living (cooking, cleaning, accompanying etc.) I also have a cousin with autism and ADHD who I spend a lot of time with helping to perform certain activities (playing in the park and with LEGO etc.) so I have become accustomed to dealing with outbreaks and panic attacks in a calm manner, and also to helping him through stressful social situations. 

 
What qualities do you think are important when working as a personal assistant with a disabled person? (required): Empathy- being able to understand or at least accommodate the other persons feelings/ reasonings plays a big part in building a relationship and helping overcome potentially stressful situations. Compassion- Putting yourself in another persons position is essential in helping them get the best out of any given situation as to not leave them feeling upset or distraught. Caring- One must be able to provide care and assistance to the other person no matter what position they find themselves in, in order to not compromise the safety and protection as well as happiness of the other individual 

 
How do you think you can contribute towards the needs and the independence of a disabled person? (required): I will be able to support them in tasks around the house (cooking, cleaning, playing with toys, using bathroom facilities etc.) as well as outside of the house (staying safe and protected, going for walks, playing in the park etc.) 

 
What is it about PA work which appeals to you? (required): I enjoy helping others, seeing them improve in daily life and putting a smile on their face. In the future I am going to be a clinical psychologist due to my love for helping people so starting early in a personal assistant role will allow me to express my passion for helping others whilst also providing me with experience in helping other people. 

 
What are your hobbies/interests?: I enjoy nature, going for long walks, reading books, listening to music, playing games, visiting my family.
