Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

 I am an 8 year old boy who is non-verbal and has autism, I live at home with my parents and siblings. I enjoy playing and having fun. It may take a while for trust to be built up.

 

PURPOSE OF JOB

 To ensure I am safe at all times.

 

PLACE OF WORK

 In my home.

 

HOURS OF WORK

 Relief Personal assistant required to cover annual leave and sickness.

 Contracted hours

3pm – 6pm (5 days a week after school).

RATE OF PAY

£9.55 per hour.

TASKS INVOLVED 

• Supervising me at all times to ensure I am safe.

 

• Assisting me with opening food packets.

 

• Assistance with toileting (reminding me to use the toilet and personal care may be required on occasions – PPE provided.)

 

• Playing and keeping me engaged.

• Knowledge about autism desirable but not essential

 

ABOUT THE JOB

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A probation period will be necessary in the first instance.  Wages will be paid 4 weekly.  You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
