CDP1322 Personal Assistant to Adult Quote ref: CDP1322 on application form Apply now JOB DESCRIPTION Personal Assistant A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF I am a lady in my 40’s living in the Llanishen area of Cardiff. I am blind and partially deaf. I need assistance with day-to-day living tasks in my home and in the community. I need assistance with general household tasks, taking my son to school, and food preparation. I also use a guide dog which will need someone to walk and take out from time to time. You must be comfortable around dogs. PURPOSE OF JOB To keep me safe in my home and out in the community. Giving me independence and confidence to do my daily living tasks. PLACE OF WORK In my home and out in the community on occasions. HOURS OF WORK 13 – 13.5 hours per week (hours can vary) I will discuss the details of the hours and days in detail and can be flexible, but usually between 7:30AM – 17:00PM. RATE OF PAY £9.35 per hour. TASKS INVOLVED I need assistance with general household duties. I need someone to take my son to school – a car is not essential as you can walk there. I need my dog taking out for short walks, so would need you to be comfortable with this. I also need breakfast and some food preparation at the end of the day. TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED Kind and patient individual who is happy to work with children and dogs. Car driver is not essential for this role. ABOUT THE JOB Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
