JOB DESCRIPTION 

Personal Assistant 

 

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF 

 

Personal assistant is required for a lady living in Llandaff North, Cardiff.  She is a single parent to two children under the age of 5 years old and a teenager who is mildly autistic.   

 

They are a 2nd language Welsh speaking home with English being their first language.   

 

 

HOURS OF WORK 

7 hours p/w with the possibility of more hours available in the future.  

 

Flexible working hours but would largely be expected to be available weekdays and some early evenings / early morning (once normal routine /school resumes)  

 

 

RATE OF PAY 

 

£9.80 per hour 

  

 

TASKS INVOLVED 

• Support on school mornings with breakfast prep and occasionally assisting with the school run 

• Regular support with evening food prep & some house chores through the week such as general cleaning tasks and assisting with laundry 
• Support to attend appointments, sometimes at hospital where she struggles to walk to and from the car park and Drs office 
• Support when out shopping and putting shopping away once home.  

 

 

 

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED 

• Punctuality and reliability is very important as well as being trust worthy 
• Previous experience with care work would be an advantage  
• Must be happy to work around children 

• Car driver is desirable but would consider applicants who do not drive 

 

 

 

ABOUT THE JOB 

 

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted.  A probation period will be necessary in the first instance.  Wages will be paid 4 weekly.  You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
